Gene was one of the kindest people that I ever had the chance to work with. His sense of humor made him a joy to be around. I have many happy memories and know that he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very saddened by the death of Gene. He was an amazing friend and such a good man. I first worked with Gene at the Monon, and after Nancy passed, we kinda took him under our wing. (or should I say, he took us under his wing) I don’t think there is enough room on this page to write about him. I have such good memories of our days at the Stacked Pickle, and dinners at his home, and talking about our lives and families….My thoughts and prayers go out to the family…Our Lord has received a precious gift..and he will greatly missed.

My Dad was such a sweet, funny, smart, caring man who touched the lives of so many people. I am truly blessed to have enjoyed as much time with him as I did. I already miss his laugh, his smile, his love, our talks, and the way his eyes would light up when he would see my boys or his other grandkids. He made life so special and comfortable and I know he is up there somewhere with my Mom sitting on a beach finally relaxing and enjoying the sun. I love you Dad!!!!

Genan, may God provide comfort and strength to you and your sisters during this time of grief. Your father’s legacy is left in each of you, it is in the simple smile that you share, the soft laugh that comes when you gather to share his stories and the ever present joy that sings in your heart. He has walked among us and now joining hands with your mother it is time that he walks with his heavenly father. May you feel God’s comfort as you release your father home.

We are so sorry to hear about Gene’s passing. He will be truly missed as a dear neighbor. We know that the last couple of years were hard for him, but he never complained. He would just smile, shrug his shoulders and say “it’s tough getting old”. Condolences to all who loved this sweet man.
